Following a format established in centuries past by which invitations to social engagements were traditionally extended by the lady of the house, the at Home invitation came into being. Even though a lady is deemed to be ‘at Home’ wherever she entertains, the format endures to this day and should correctly be issued by a lady alone and not a married couple.
We have chosen the name Rosings for our classic at home card to reflect its stature as the most traditional and elegant form of social invitation and we offer it not only in its traditional guise of a script font engraved in black ink but also in several other fonts and various other ink colours that we will print for you onto a smooth white 600gsm card.
Additionally, you may either choose to have your cards engraved in the traditional manner or to have them raised printed by its modern alternative.
The Rosings at home invitation cards are provided with plain white envelopes.
Print Process: Thermography (raised print) or Engraved.Engraving uses a traditionally etched copper plate. The paper is then pressed or die stamped into the copper plate thus leaving the ink raised to the touch. Due to the pressing of the ink into the card, you will find that the reverse of the card has an indentation where the ink has been stamped.
The Copper plate can be held with us for future use or we can send it to you with your order.

The production impact of the papers we use is measured and reduced at every possible opportunity - from forest management to energy use - making this beautiful paper a positive force toward a balanced environment.
As well as being fully recyclable and biodegradable, the paper we use has FSC certification, meaning that the pulps used are all from managed forests. It is also Heavy Metal Free and, because the bleaching process avoids the use of harmful chlorine, it is classified ECF.

Printing Time
Please note that when you order personalised stationery, you order will only go into print, once you have approved your proof. Following approval it will take approximately 10 working days to produce your stationery. It is then passed on to our courier for delivery to your address.
