Setting the tone for the gold engraved wedding invitations that will follow, a heavy smooth white card announces the date of your big day. With your initials beautifully engraved in gold at the top of the card, the text is also raised from the card surface in black ink using a process called thermography. To complete this impressive Save the Date the edges of the card are also gilded and bevelled. Roughly the size of a postcard, these cards are supplied with matching plain white C6 envelopes. Silver initials and silver edges can be selected, if preferred.
For this design we have chosen a luxurious smooth white 600gsm card which measures 4.25”x6”.

Engraved Initials
Engraving uses a traditionally etched copper plate. The paper is then pressed or die stamped into the copper plate thus leaving the ink raised to the touch. Due to the pressing of the ink into the card, you will find that the reverse of the card has an indentation where the ink has been stamped.

Your names and the words "save the date" will be in script and contrast with your choice of font.

As well as being fully recyclable and biodegradable, the paper we use has FSC certification, meaning that the pulps used are all from managed forests. It is also Heavy Metal Free and, because the bleaching process avoids the use of harmful chlorine, it is classified ECF.

Printing Time
Please note that when you order personalised stationery, you order will only go into print, once you have approved your proof. Following approval it will take approximately 10 working days to produce your stationery. It is then passed on to our courier for delivery to your address.
