The Bookbox is August Sandgren's bestselling box and was the first of their aesthetic boxes for storage. The box is named ‘The Bookbox’ as it takes its origin from the beautiful old bookboxes, in which people would place their most valuable books to take extra good care of them.
The colour collection in Cognac, Cactus, saffron and terracotta is a tribute to freedom and happiness and is inspired by the work we did with Josephine A Hoffmeyer and Elisa Ossino in 2021 for Salone del Mobile in Milan. For H+O's installation in Via Solferino, curated by Josepine, we developed a collection of colourful objects. The response from visitors was overwhelmingly positive, and we have now made the most popular colours part of our assortment. The colour collection light up any room, and is made from soft aniline oekotex-certified leather.
Pemberly Fox have chosen to print onto the GF Smith Extract range which is a pioneering paper inspired by our environment. It is a dynamic combination of chemistry and artistry that takes disposable paper coffee cups destined for landfill and transforms them into beautiful paper. You have the choice of the entry level print process of flatprinted personalisation or choose the ultimate printing technique which we call Engraving but is more commonly known as Embossing.
The Book Box:
Dimensions: 26/20.5/6.5 cm (A5 in internal measures)
Material: Surplus leather. The exact type of leather may differ from time to time, as this box is made from surplus leather and the leather quality used therefore depends on the available screenings of leather. The leather is however always among the highest quality of European leather.
Colour: Cognac both on the exterior and interior. The exact colour may change depending on the available surplus leather, however, if more than one box is ordered we will make sure it is the same leather quality and colour send.
Production location: Handmade in Portugal.
Logo placement: Discretely blind debossed inside the lid.
Personalisation: Possible to deboss initials, name, monogram, or logo on the top of the lid of the box.

The production impact of the papers we use is measured and reduced at every possible opportunity - from forest management to energy use - making this beautiful paper a positive force toward a balanced environment.
As well as being fully recyclable and biodegradable, the paper we use has FSC certification, meaning that the pulps used are all from managed forests. It is also Heavy Metal Free and, because the bleaching process avoids the use of harmful chlorine, it is classified ECF.

Printing Time
Please note that when you order personalised stationery, you order will only go into print, once you have approved your proof. Following approval it will take approximately 10 working days to produce your stationery. It is then passed on to our courier for delivery to your address.
